Before landing on the opportunity to physically go and see for myself, Chile was a vague and hazy land mass positioned somewhere due south of where I have lived all my life. Lexington, Ky.----The Wingate University volleyball team collected another recognition for the 2009 season, earning the AVCA Team Academic Award. The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average.
