Denton was a four-time All-SAC honoree that led the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009. She won the individual SAC championship in 2008, while leading the 'Dogs to the team title the following season. She also earned a spot as an individual in the 2010 NCAA Tournament. Denton posted a 78.28 stroke average in her career, posting 25 top-10 finishes, 17 top-five showings and winning a school-record five individual titles.
Denton won a pair of individual titles during her freshman season, including the SAC Tournament. She added two more victories as a sophomore to help guide the 'Dogs to the SAC title and NCAA Tourney bid, while adding a title in her senior season. Denton was Wingate's all-time leader in stroke average for nearly a decade, currently ranking fourth on the school's all-time list. She is Wingate's all-time leader with 42 career tournaments played and 90 total rounds. She is also the all-time leader in counting scores in program history, with her score counting 98.8 percent of her rounds played. Her 135 career birdies are good for third in program history.
