Freshman forward Peron Da Silva scored a pair of goals in Wingate’s first week of the 2011 season, helping the Bulldogs go 1-1. Da Silva scored a goal late in the second half of Wingate’s season opener against Barton, getting the Bulldogs to within one despite playing two-men down. Da Silva scored the only goal of the contest in Wingate’s 1-0 victory at Francis Marion on Saturday.
