Nikki Burton earned All-Tournament honors in the NCAA Southeast Regionals, leading the Bulldogs to the regional championship game. Burton averaged 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in the tournament, shooting 53 percent from the field and 82 percent from the free throw line.
Burton had 20 points, four rebounds and two assists in the opening round win against Barton. She had 16 points, seven boards, three steals and three assists against the defending national champs Clayton State. She also hit the game winner with under five seconds left in the one-point win. Burton had 21 points, six rebounds, six steals and two blocks in the double overtime regional title game loss.
