Senior forward Odell Turner just missed becoming the first player in Wingate men's basketball history to record a 20-20 game in Wingate's 73-61 victory over a Johnson C. Smith team that entered the Wingate contest at 4-1 overall. 

Turner had 19 points and a career-high 19 rebounds Saturday afternoon. The preseason first team All-SAC selection helped the Bulldogs dominate the glass, as Wingate held a 53-29 rebounding advantage over the Golden Bulls. Turner pulled down a career-best 12 offensive rebounds, helping Wingate hold a 26-7 edge in offensive rebounds and a 32-10 advantage in second chance points. Turner also had three blocks and three assists Saturday. 

Turner leads the Bulldogs with 13.0 points per game, while leading the team and the SAC with 10.8 rebounds per contest. He also leads the team with 1.4 steals per game, while ranking second with 1.1 blocks per contest. Turner has two double-doubles on the year, while putting posting double-digit points in five contests and double-digit rebounds three times.
