Wingate sophomore guard Ryan Daye (Burlington, N.C.) continued his impressive play last week, scoring 17.5 points per game to lead the Bulldogs to a pair of SAC victories.
Daye started his week with nine points, three rebounds and two assists in Wingate's 21-point win over Lenoir-Rhyne. He followed with a career-high 26 points at Mars Hill, leading the Bulldogs to an 89-65 victory. Daye went nine-for-12 from the field, hitting five-of-seven shots from three-point range. He also had three steals on the afternoon, playing only 21 minutes.
Daye ranks third on the team with 11.4 points per game on the year, shooting a league-best 52.8 percent from beyond the arc. He leads the team and ranks ninth in the league, scoring 15.8 points per game in SAC contests.
