Wingate University senior guard Eddie Lewis averaged 14 points per game last week, hitting eight-of-15 shots from three-point range (53.3 percent). Lewis also had seven steals on the week.
Lewis started his week with nine points, six steals, four assists and four rebounds in the win over Catawba. He hit three-of-four shots from beyond the arc on the night. Lewis scored a season-high 19 points Saturday, hitting all five of Wingate's threes on the afternoon. He added two assists, two blocks and a steal on the afternoon.
Lewis is scoring 6.8 points per game on the season, ranking second on the team with 27 steals. He leads the team with 33 triples on the season, shooting 38.8 percent from three-point range. The bulldogs are 12-6 overall and 8-2 in the SAC, tied atop the league standings.
