Anna Hilton earned SAC Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in her career on Monday. The reigning SAC Player of the Year was one of the most dominant players at the highly competitive Concordia Tournament, which featured five nationally ranked teams and a sixth team receiving votes.
Hilton's strong play helped lead the No. 21 Bulldogs to a 3-2 record, which included victories over ninth-ranked UIndy, 11th-ranked Colorado School of Mines and Hillsdale (receiving votes). Hilton averaged 3.10 kills and 3.15 digs per set in the five matches, hitting .268 while adding 15 blocks and eight assists.
Hilton started her season in style with a career-high 18 kills against Hillsdale, adding 24 digs and five blocks. She had 16 kills, seven digs and three blocks in the 3-2 win over #9 UIndy, hitting .343. Hilton hit .345 against Colorado School of Mines, registering 13 kills and 15 digs. Hilton just missed a double-double against top-ranked and six-time defending national champion Concordia-St. Paul, compiling nine kills and 10 digs to go along with two blocks.
