Shaun Gadsby scored the game-winning goal in the opening minutes of Wingate's season-opening 3-0 victory over Barton on Thursday night. The win helped the Bulldogs move up to 10th in the NSCAA Top 25. 

Gadsby's goal was the second of his career. His first goal came in last year's 3-1 victory over Montevallo in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs would go on to advance to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in school history. 

Gadsby and the 10th-ranked Bulldogs have a big week coming up. Wingate will host #24 UNC Pembroke Wednesday at 7 p.m. You can watch the match for free in high definition. The Bulldogs open SAC play Saturday at Carson-Newman at 7:30 p.m.
