Wingate senior midfielder Pedro Figuiera netted a pair of game-winning goals last week, leading the Bulldogs to two SAC victories. Figuiera helped Wingate improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
Figuiera started his week by scoring the game-winner in Wingate's 4-1 home win against Catawba. He scored the only goal of the game Sunday afternoon, leading the Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory at Tusculum.
The Bulldogs are in the midst of a four-game road trip. Wingate is at Belmont Abbey Wednesday, while returning to SAC play Friday at Mars Hill. The road trip comes to an end next Wednesday at Coker, while the 'Dogs return home Friday, Oct. 11, hosting Brevard at 7 p.m.
