Anna Hilton led the Bulldogs to their second straight regional title, while also becoming the first player in Wingate or SAC volleyball history to earn AVCA first team All-American honors. The SAC and Region Player of the Year also earned third team All-American accolades from Daktronics.
Hilton earned All-Tournament honors at the NCAA Southeast Regionals. She had 12 kills and 13 digs in the sweep over Belmont Abbey, hitting .500 while adding three blocks. She had seven kills and 10 digs against Anderson, hitting .389. Hilton piled up 13 kills, 17 digs and seven blocks in the regional title match against #17 Armstrong, hitting .387.
Hilton led the Bulldogs to their eighth straight SAC regular season and tournament titles in 2013, while also leading Wingate to its third Elite Eight in four years. The Bulldogs were ranked as high as ninth during the season, the highest ranking in Wingate or SAC volleyball history. Wingate went 32-3 overall, going 22-0 in the SAC to notch its fifth undefeated conference season in six years.
