Sophomore middle blocker Abby Saehler hit .625 in Wingate's four wins over the weekend at the Newberry Invitational, piling up 33 kills in just 48 swings, while committing only three errors. She averaged 2.54 kills per set, adding 0.77 blocks per set.
Saehler registered 10 kills in 14 swings against USC Aiken Friday night, hitting .714 while adding three blocks. She needed only 11 swings to notch 10 digs in Saturday's win over Belmont Abbey, hitting .909 for the match. Saehler capped her week by compiling nine kills in 11 swings against Columbus State, hitting .727 to go along with three blocks.
