Wingate University senior Kellie Gervas (Imperial, Pa.) posted two NCAA Division II “B” cuts and set a Levine Center record during the 2015 Royal Invitational hosted by Queens University of Charlotte Friday and Saturday.
 
On Friday, Gervas won the 200 Butterfly with a D2 “B” cut time of 2:05.99. On Saturday, she established a new Levine Center pool record in the women’s 200 Individual Medley (2:08.11) during the evening time trials.
 
“I’m very happy for Kelly and her Royal Invitational performances,” Wingate head men’s and women’s swimming coach Kirk Sanocki says. “Over her four years, Kellie has been willing to swim any events that we have asked her to swim. She always put the team before individual success. I was very excited to see her get these be cuts…I’m looking forward to her closing out her senior year with a strong performance at the NCAA championship.”
