Wingate University junior Armony Dumur (Amiens, France) helped the Bulldogs claim two national titles at the 2015 NCAA Division II swimming and diving championships at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Individually, Dumur won the 100 Butterfly with a new national record time of 52.42.
Dumur and three teammates touched first in the 400 Medley Relay with a new school record time of 3:40.28. She set her third 100 Fly national record of the day with her relay time of 51.99. Dumur was an NCAA All-American in five events: 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 800 Freestyle Relay. She gained honorable mention All-American laurels in two individual events: 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle.
The 2014-15 season is Dumur’s first with the Bulldogs. A transfer from Bridgeport (Conn.), Dumur made her presence known at the 2015 Bluegrass Mountain Conference meet as she earned All-BMC honors in the 50 Freestyle, the 100 Butterfly and the 200 and the 800 Freestyle Relays. Dumur helped Wingate place second at the 2015 BMC event.
