Senior right-side hitter Shelly Stumpff (Iowa City, Iowa) capped her impressive season in style, piling up 4.45 kills and 3.45 digs per set in three matches, adding four blocks and four aces while hitting .296.
Stumpff helped the Bulldogs finish the year 20-2 in league play, winning their 10th straight regular season SAC title. Stumpff had 21 kills and 16 digs at Queens while hitting .286. She piled up 13 kills and seven digs in a sweep against Newberry, adding three aces. Stumpff had 15 kills in the three-set win over Anderson, adding 15 digs with a .353 hitting percentage.
Stumpff leads the SAC with 3.89 kills per set, while also leading the league and ranking second nationally in aces per set. She is second on the team with 3.06 digs per set. Stumpff is Wingate's all-time leader in career aces, while ranking third in program history in career kills.
