Wingate University junior goalkeeper Jacob Ormerod (Lake Mary, Fla.) posted 16 saves as the Bulldogs claimed a regular season-ending 8-6 SAC home victory over Tusculum Saturday, April 23. He played 60 minutes, allowing only six goals. His save percentage was 72.7 and his GAA was 6.00.
 
For his efforts, he was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference men’s lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season and the fifth time in his career. Ormerod led the SAC in save percentage (.593) and goals against average (9.85) this season. He was named first team All-SAC by the league’s coaches.
