Wingate University freshman setter Rachel Alles (Tinley Park, Ill.) piled up 67 assists and 26 digs in a pair of Wingate sweeps last weekend, leading the Bulldogs to an 11th consecutive regular season SAC title.
Alles averaged 11.2 assists and 4.3 digs per set in the two victories, adding five kills and four aces. She had 37 assists and a career-high 17 digs in the sweep over Mars Hill Friday night. Alles had 30 assists, nine digs, four kills and two aces in Saturday's sweep over Tusculum.
Alles runs a Wingate offense that leads the SAC in kills per set, hitting percentage and assists per set. The freshman is third on the team in digs, while ranking fifth in the conference in assists. Alles has also collected over 100 kills on the year, earning honorable mention All-SAC honors along with All-SAC Freshman Team accolades.
