Wingate sophomore guard/forward Kurie Washington (Marion, N.C.) helped the Bulldogs pick up a big 75-59 South Atlantic Conference victory over Catawba Wednesday night. The home contest was Wingate’s only action last week

Washington had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs Wednesday. On the season, she is averaging a team-best 17.4 points per game. A very consistent performer, Washington posts 17.7 points per game in SAC contests. The McDowell High School product was the 2009 SAC Freshman of the Year last season.
