Wingate freshman Ebba Stillman (Huskvarna, Sweden) had a big weekend for the Bulldogs. On Saturday, Stillman won two individual events as number seven Wingate defeated host Catawba 116-69. This week’s Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimmer of the Week, Stillman touched first in the 200 Freestyle (1:56.29) and the 100 Butterfly (58.31) in Johnson Pool on the Catawba campus.
Friday night at Gardner-Webb, Stillman won an individual event and helped the visiting Bulldogs win the 400 Medley Relay. Individually, Stillman won the 200 Butterfly (2:05.80). She teamed with senior Academic All-America® Vika Arkhipova (Seversk, Russia) graduate student Olga Kosheleva (Yekaterinburg, Russia) and classmate Abby Kosic (West Chester, Pa.) to post a time of 3:54.60 in the 400 Medley Relay.
