Wingate University sophomore forward Danasia Witherspoon (Hickory, N.C.) averaged 15.5 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs compiled a 2-0 overall record last week. In addition, she shot a blazing 61.1 percent from the floor (11-of-18) and converted 100.0 percent of her free throws (nine-of-nine). 

The Hickory High School graduate concluded her week with 22 points and five rebounds in a 97-46 triumph over Mars Hill Saturday. On Wednesday, Witherspoon posted nine points and two rebounds in a 65-51 victory at Queens.
