Wingate University senior forward Josh Dominguez (Matthews, N.C.) continued his hot stretch with two more big games for the Bulldogs last week, which included his first-ever 30-point performance at LMU Saturday.
Dominguez averaged 26.5 points per game in a pair of contests last week, adding 5.0 rebounds per contest to go along with three assists and three blocks. He shot 59 percent from the field, while hitting seven-of-13 shots from three-point range (54 percent) and going 14-for-17 at the free throw line (83 percent).
Dominguez had 19 points, six rebounds and three blocks in the victory over Newberry, giving the Bulldogs their first 11-game winning streak since the 2000-01 season. The senior poured in a career-high 34 points at #21 Lincoln Memorial Saturday, hitting six-of-nine shots from beyond the arc while also going 12-for-14 at the free throw line.
Dominguez is second on the team with 14.6 points per game, shooting 48 percent from the field for the season to go along with 43 percent shooting from three-point range and 80 percent at the free throw line. He has scored at least 18 points in each of his last five games, averaging 24.4 points per game during the stretch.
