Wingate junior goalkeeper Will Sheridan (Woodstock, Ga.) tallied 10 saves (including seven in the pivotal second half) as the number 14 Bulldogs edged the 19th-ranked Tusculum College Pioneers 10-9 in SAC action from Pioneer Field Saturday. The Navy Blue and Vegas Gold-clad Bulldogs scored the final four goals of the game to take the victory and the number two seed in this week’s league tournament.
 
Sheridan leads the SAC and the nation with a 62.3 save percentage, while also leading the league with 7.02 goals-against average. The first team All-SAC performer ranks fourth in NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse with his goals-against average mark and finishes the regular season with 149 saves, which is third in the SAC. Sheridan is one of five Bulldogs to earn first team All-SAC honors. A program-record 11 student-athletes received All-SAC distinction.
