Wingate University senior forward Elma N'For (Yaoundé, Cameroon) was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference men's soccer Player of the Week for the first time this year and second time in his career on Monday.
An All-SAC and All-Region selection in 2016, N'For had a huge week for the defending national champion Bulldogs. The senior had four goals and two assists in a pair of 4-1 conference wins for Wingate.
N'For started his week by scoring a goal in each half of the Queens win, while adding an assist on the game's final goal. With Wingate trailing 1-0 early Saturday, N'For scored twice in two minutes to put the 'Dogs on top, then added a second half assist to give Wingate a two-goal advantage. He had the game-winner in both matches last week.
N'For has five goals and two assists on the year, ranking second on the team in goals and points. He ranks second in the SAC in goals and points, trailing only his teammate Elliot Cutts (London, England). N'For has 14 goals and six assists in his two-year Wingate career.
