Wingate University redshirt junior libero Kori Adams (Ayden, N.C.) led the Bulldogs to a pair of SAC wins last week, anchoring a Bulldog defense that held both opponents to hitting percentages of under .100.
Adams needed just six sets to pile up 42 digs, averaging 7.00 digs per set in two wins. The team captain collected 21 digs in Wingate's 3-0 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne, while collecting another 21 digs in the sweep over Catawba Saturday afternoon. Adams and the Bulldogs held LRU to a hitting percentage of .097, while holding the Indians to a .075 hitting percentage.
Adams leads the Bulldogs and ranks fifth in the SAC with 5.32 digs per set, while leading the league with 0.42 aces per set. She anchors a Wingate defense that leads the conference and ranks in the top 10 nationally in opponents' hitting percentage.
