Senior Hollyn Alberghini helped lead the Wingate women’s tennis team to a 9-0 victory over Coker College Wednesday at the WU Tennis Complex. The Bulldog women did not lose a set Wednesday during Alberghini’s final regular season home appearance.

 

Alberghini defeated Coker freshman Stephanie Harrelson 6-0, 7-5 at the number five singles flight. Earlier in the day, the West Stanly High School product teamed with sophomore Samantha Alschlager to defeat Harrelson and junior Kendall Sigmon 8-1 at the number two doubles flight.

 

On the season, Alberghini and Alschlager are a team-best 14-4 overall in doubles at the number two position. The duo possesses a 6-2 slate in SAC matches. Alberghini is 7-10 overall in singles. She has won her last two matches in a row.
