Senior running back Nelson Woods became the school's all-time leading rusher on Saturday during Wingate's 28-23 win against #14 UNC Pembroke. Woods finished with 123 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

The two-time all-conference performer broke the record on a 58-yard touchdown run, which ended up being the difference in the game. Woods now has 2,985 yards on a school-record 620 carries in his illustrious career. The Shelby, N.C. native needs two more rushing touchdowns to break the all-time record.
