Williams followed by scoring the next two goals, giving Wingate a 3-0 lead 7:30 into the contest. Senior midfielder <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1300" smarttag="1" rev="1300">Julie Zielinski</a></dfn></b> (Erie, Pa.) struck 10 minutes later to push the lead to four. <br /> <br /> Junior midfielder <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1293" smarttag="1" rev="1293">Kelsey McCormick</a></dfn></b> (Hockessin, Del.) netted a goal in the 37th minute to make it 5-0. Wingate scored three goals in the final 2:18 of the second half to push the lead to eight. <br /> <br /> Junior forward <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1288" smarttag="1" rev="1288">Hannah Holsclaw</a></dfn></b> (Matthews, N.C.) scored her first goal of the season to start the barrage. Junior midfielder <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1289" smarttag="1" rev="1289">Casey King</a></dfn></b> (Danvers, Mass.) scored with 36 seconds left in the half to make it 7-0. Freshman defender <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1302" smarttag="1" rev="1302">Chandler Murphy</a></dfn></b> (Pawleys Island, S.C.) scored 18 seconds later to cap the scoring for the half. <br /> <br /> Junior forward <b><dfn><a href="/roster.aspx?rp_id=1280" smarttag="1" rev="1280">Kelly Adams</a></dfn></b> (Matthews, N.C.) scored Wingate’s lone second-half goal to make the final margin 9-0. The Bulldogs outshot the Hawks 30-2 on the afternoon, while holding a 15-0 edge in shots on goal. <br /> <br /> Wingate returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 15, traveling to UNC Pembroke for a 7 p.m. start.
