Jefferson City, Tenn.----Carson-Newman College scored two second half goals to take a 2-0 South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer victory over Wingate University Saturday night at McCown Field. The Eagles are 4-8 overall and 3-4 in the SAC, while Wingate is 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the SAC.

Matt Craine (Morristown, Tenn.) scored the match-winner in the 48th minute. He took a cross from sophomore forward
Tyson Adkinson (Franklin, Tenn.) and took a one-time shot on goal. The tally was Craine’s first goal of the season.
Eagle senior forward
Robert Hill (Middleborough, England) posted his team-leading seventh goal of the year in the 63rd minute to conclude the scoring. C-N junior midfielder
Taylor Jolley (Morristown, Tenn.) recorded the assist on the play.

Wingate returns to action Friday, visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University for a 7 p.m. contest. Carson-Newman travels down the mountain to Mars Hill College Wednesday at 7 p.m.
