Brevard, N.C.----The Wingate University women’s basketball team visits Brevard College Saturday for the South Atlantic Conference regular season finale. The Bulldogs and Tornados will tip-off at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boshamer Gymnasium.
The Wingate University sports network will provide
live audio from courtside. The Brevard College Sports Information department will make available
live statistics.
On Wednesday, the Bulldogs held on for a 51-46 victory over the Trojans of Anderson University in SAC women’s basketball action Wednesday night in Cuddy Arena. With the victory, Wingate improved to 16-9 overall and 11-6 in the SAC.

Sarah Wollett (Raleigh, N.C.) had nine of her team-high 10 points in the second half, knocking down a huge three with 15 seconds remaining to give the 'Dogs a five-point lead. Junior guard
Kurie Washington (Marion, N.C.) knocked down three trifectas in the first half, scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds on the night.
CC Brooks (Mount Holly, N.C.) celebrated Senior Night with seven points, five rebounds and three assists.
On Saturday, Jan. 22, the Bulldogs opened the game with a 32-2 run en route to a 79-59 win over the Tornados in Cuddy Arena. Junior forward
Simone Rutledge (Atlanta, Ga.) had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wingate attack. Sophomore forward
Tish Logan (Suitland, Md.) added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs, while Washington contributed 12 points.
The Bulldogs will host a first round contest in the
Food Lion SAC tournament on Wednesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. The Food Lion SAC Final Four will be held at the Catawba Valley Community College Multipurpose Complex Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. The Bulldogs have won six Food Lion SAC tournament titles.
