Melbourne, Fla.----The Florida Institute of Technology men’s soccer team scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 NCAA Division II victory over Wingate University Friday afternoon at Rick Stottler Field. The game officials stopped the contest with 10 minutes remaining, due to lightning in the area.

Freshman forward Drake Hillman (Plymouth, England) had a goal and an assist for the Panthers (2-1 overall). FIT travels to Georgia Southwestern State College Sunday for a 2 p.m. tilt. Wingate (2-2 overall) visits Flagler College Sunday for a 12 noon contest.
