Jade Montgomery (Monroe, N.C.) each scored two goals Wednesday afternoon, leading the Bulldogs to a 5-0 victory at Coker College in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action. Wingate improves to 7-1-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the SAC. Coker falls to 2-9 overall and 0-6 in the conference.
Meosky got Wingate on the board 6:31 into the contest, heading in a corner kick from senior midfielder
Chandler Murphy (Pawleys Island, S.C.) to make it 1-0.
Montgomery gave the 'Dogs a 2-0 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining in the opening half, with Murphy registering her second assist of the day. Wingate led 2-0 at halftime, out-shooting Coker 24-2 in the opening 45 minutes.
Meosky's second goal of the game came in the 62nd minute, with freshman midfielder
Naomi Matley (Clover, S.C.) assisting on the play. It is the third time Meosky has scored multiple goals in a game during her career.
Montgomery gave the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead 22 minutes later, scoring her league-best ninth goal of the year. The 2012 first team All-American and SAC Female Athlete of the Year has scored multiple goals three times this year and 13 times in her career.

Brooke Howell (Charlotte, N.C.) netted her fifth goal of the season with under seven minutes remaining in the contest to make the final margin 5-0, getting the assist from freshman forward
Maggie Smith (Monroe, N.C.).
The Bulldogs outshot Coker 37-5 on the afternoon, holding a 17-3 advantage in shots on goal. Junior
Ashlyn Hardie (Summerfield, N.C.) had a pair of saves to secure the Wingate shutout.
Lizz Morris had 12 saves for the Cobras.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, hosting Brevard at 4 p.m.
