Anderson, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored four times in a 40-minute span Saturday afternoon en route to a 4-0 victory at Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action. The Bulldogs push their unbeaten streak to nine straight games, notching their eight consecutive shutout to move to 9-2-3 overall and 8-1-1 in the SAC. Wingate has not allowed a goal in over 790 minutes of action. The Trojans fall to 5-9-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the conference.

Brooke Howell (Charlotte, N.C.) got the scoring started 11 minutes into the match, scoring her SAC-best 13th goal of the year, taking a cross from freshman forward

Jade Montgomery (Monroe, N.C.) netted her 12th goal of the season eight minutes later, taking a cross from Howell to make it 2-0.
Wingate took a 3-0 lead 12 minutes before halftime, with freshman
Colleen Zickert (Arlington Heights, Ill.) scoring her first career goal, taking advantage of a misplay by the Anderson goalkeeper.
The 'Dogs wasted no time adding to their lead in the second half, with Montgomery netting her second goal of the match four minutes after intermission, setup by a corner kick from freshman midfielder
Kaitlyn Fletcher (Jacksonville, N.C.). Montgomery is tied for the SAC lead with 13 goals this year. She now has 64 career goals, putting her alone in fifth on the league's all-time list. Montgomery has 18 career multi-goal games.
Wingate out-shot the Trojans 16-4 on the day, holding a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Ashlyn Hardie (Summerfield, N.C.) played the first 54 minutes in goal, notching one save. Senior
Lauren Schoonover (Lake Stevens, Wash.) notched a pair of saves in the final 36 minutes.

The Bulldogs are back in action next Saturday, wrapping up the regular season at home against Lincoln Memorial at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
