Brooke Howell (Charlotte, N.C.) scored the match-winning goal in overtime, lifting the Bulldogs to a 1-0 South Atlantic Conference women's soccer tournament quarter-final victory over Queens University of Charlotte Tuesday night at the WU Soccer Complex. Mackenzie Cherniuk (Massillon, Ohio) squirted a corner kick to freshman defender
Kaitlyn Fletcher (Jacksonville, N.C.), who quickly passed the ball back to Cherniuk. A cross from Cherniuk found Howell in the goal mouth. She calmly placed the ball inside the left post for her 14th goal of the season in the 92nd minute.
