Wingate, N.C.----Rollins College sophomore midfield Carson Buell (Dallas, Texas) had two goals and a game-high four assists, propelling the Tars to an 8-6 NCAA Division II men's lacrosse victory over Wingate University Wednesday at the Irwin Belk Track Complex turf field. Rollins is 3-3 overall, while Wingate is 1-4 overall.
 
Rollins sophomore attack Nicholas Schultz (Delray Beach, Fla.) had three goals for the Sunshine State Conference members. Wingate junior attack Ryan Vogrig (Vancouver, B.C.) led the host Bulldogs with two goals. Four WU student-athletes had one goal each; senior midfield Cory Schumacher (Gainesville, Va.) had two assists for the home-standing Bulldogs.
 
Wingate's next two games have a new venue, as the Bulldogs will host two South Atlantic Conference games this weekend. Wingate will play Tusculum Saturday at 12 noon and Lincoln Memorial Sunday at 3 p.m. Both games will be played at the Irwin Belk Track Complex turf field. The contests were originally road games on the WU schedule; the severe winter weather of the last few weeks necessitated the changes.
