Saint Leo, Fla.----The 18th-ranked Wingate University men's soccer team played a scoreless first half against Saint Leo University Sunday afternoon. Lightning moved into the area seven minutes into the second half and the teams were unable to resume play. The contest was officially called and will not count as an official game.

Wingate, who opened the 2016 season with a 3-0 win over No. 17 Rollins Saturday, will return to action, Sept. 10, hosting Lander at 7 p.m. in a rematch of the 2015 NCAA Tournament opening round contest. The Bulldogs prevailed in penalty kicks, advancing to the regional semifinals.
