Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs are on the road for the second time this season, traveling to UNC Pembroke for a 7 p.m. start Saturday night. The Bulldogs are 2-3 overall, having lost three straight with the last two setbacks coming by a combined 10 points. UNC Pembroke is 1-2 overall after having two games cancelled due to Hurricane Florence.

SERIES HISTORY

- 10th meeting between the two teams; WU leads 6-3
- Wingate is currently riding a two-game winning streak; third two-game streak in the series

- JT Stokes had another huge game with 185 receiving yards and a score
- Stokes has 14 catches for 371 yards and three TDs the last two games
- True freshman Nijere Peoples had 133 rushing yards and two TDs on 23 carries
- Shaw Crocker threw for 219 yards and a score
- Crocker has thrown for at least 200 yards every game this season

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS

- The Bulldogs have lost three straight for the first time since the end of the 2015 season
