‘Dogs get back on track with 51-7 blowout at UNC Pembroke

Pembroke, N.C.----The Wingate University piled up a season-high 491 yards of offense Saturday night, cruising to a 51-7 victory at UNC Pembroke in NCAA Division II football action at Grace P. Johnson Stadium. It is the biggest road win since a 52-point win in 1986. Wingate snaps a three-game losing streak, improving to 3-3 overall while the Braves fall to 1-3 on the year.

"Hopefully this is a nice momentum-builder. I thought we were very physical today. We saw a lot of great things tonight. We still have a lot to work on, but it's nice to come out with a big win like that. It's nice to come out with a dominant win and head back to conference play it's a nice momentum builder."
