Bulldogs roll past Eagles to move to 2-0 in league play

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had five players score in double figures Saturday afternoon, cruising to an 82-62 victory over Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the SAC, while the Eagles fall to 5-2 overall and 0-2 in league play.

KEY STATS

- Wingate shot 37 percent from the field, hitting 13-of-34 threes (38.2 percent)
- CN shot 42 percent from the field, hitting six-of-16 from beyond the arc (37.5 percent)
- Wingate turned 17 Carson-Newman turnovers into 18 points
