First half run leads LMU past Wingate 75-67

Harrogate, Tenn.----The Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters used a 25-0 run spanning the first and second quarters Saturday afternoon, then held off a Wingate rally en route to a 75-67 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. LMU improves to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs see their five-game winning streak come to an end, falling to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.

- A jumper from Helms at the 2:43 mark got the Bulldogs back within six at 70-64
- Emily Griffith's free throw with 49 seconds left put LMU on top by nine; Wingate got no closer than seven
