QUOTABLES

Wingate head men's lacrosse coach Tim Boyle: "It's been a hard spring trip and we really needed this one. The boys came out and played hard for the entire game, which is something we were struggling with in our early games. We were able to do a better job at the face-off X and on ground balls. We are excited to get back home and get to work to prepare for a very good Lenoir-Rhyne team."

Wingate graduate student goalie Jacob Ormerod: "We got a good team win today. We played hard for 60 minutes and never took our foot off the gas."

NEXT ON THE AGENDA

Wingate opens South Atlantic Conference play Saturday, hosting number five Lenoir-Rhyne University at Graham Gill Field. Florida Southern hits the road Friday, venturing to New York state to face Saint Rose at 3 p.m.
