Junior outfielder Tanner Forry (York, Pa.) was two-for-four with a homer and two RBI to lead the Wingate offense. Classmate Tyler Schneider (Richland, Ind.) added a hit and a run scored for the Bulldogs, who out-hit Catawba 9-6 on the day but left 14 runners on base.

Setzer led off the bottom of the first with a double, then scored on an RBI groundout from Butts to give the Indians an early 1-0 lead. Two walks and a single loaded the bases for the Indians in the third, with Butts plating a run when he was hit by a pitch.

Wingate left the bases loaded in the second and fourth, while leaving two on in the third and sixth. The Bulldogs finally got on the board in the seventh. Schneider drew a lead-off walk, then scored when Forry connected on his 18th homer of the season, a two-run shot to left center to make it 2-2.
