Wingate, N.C.----The Embry-Riddle University Eagles scored six of the first nine goals Friday afternoon, then held off a Wingate rally en route to a 14-10 victory over the Bulldogs in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action at Graham Gill Field. Embry-Riddle starts the season 1-0, while the 'Dogs fall to 0-1.
KEY BULLDOGS
- Kendall Wells had two goals, collecting one ground ball and causing one turnover
- Bella Pellet added two goals on the afternoon
- Casey Roux collected two goals, causing one turnover and registering three draw controls
- Morgan Akers had a goal, two assists and two ground balls, causing one turnover
- Nina Cifolilli added one goal and one assist

- Mya Watson had three goals and two assists to lead the Eagles

- Watson scored a man-up goal for the Eagles with just under 12 minutes reaming

- Watson capped the scoring with a free-position goal with 1:05 to go
