Florence, S.C.----The 23rd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a 4-0 victory over Barton College on day one of the City of Florence Challenge in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 2-0 on the year, while Barton falls to 1-1 overall.

DOUBLES

- Claudia De Andreis and Chyi Lee won 6-1 at number two doubles
- Sydney Homan and Camilla Ciacci won by the same score at three doubles
- Michela Verpelli and Alisa Rudenko had a 5-2 lead at one doubles when the 'Dogs clinched the doubles point

SINGLES

- De Andreis won 6-0, 6-3 at number four singles
- Ciacci prevailed 6-1, 6-4 at five singles
- Arianna Ceccaroni cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at six singles
- Verpelli led 6-3, 5-0 at one singles when the match was clinched
- Riann Hsu led 6-4, 3-0 at two singles
- Lee was leading 6-4, 4-1 at number three singles
