Jeter’s career night leads Bulldogs to 75-68 victory over LMU

Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University sophomore forward Teliyah Jeter had a career-high 16 points on seven-of-eight shooting Saturday afternoon, leading the Bulldogs to a 75-68 victory over visiting Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 17-5 overall and 12-3 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters fall to 12-10 overall and 8-7 in the SAC.

- Averette's three at the 8:16 mark gave Wingate an eight-point advantage
- Emily Griffith's bucket got the Railsplitters within four, while Dasia Maxwell's jumper made it a one-point game
- A layup and three-point play from Jeter put Wingate on top 70-64 with 3:38 remaining
- Emily Griffith knocked down a pair of free throws with 59 seconds left to get back within three
- Snow went four-for-four at the line in the final 33 seconds to give the 'Dogs a seven-point win
