Salisbury, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored the final four goals of the game Wednesday night, but it was not enough to overcome the six-goal deficit, falling 11-9 at Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Shuford Stadium. Catawba moves to 4-5 on the season and 3-0 in league play, while the 'Dogs fall to 3-6 and 1-1 in conference play.

FIRST HALF

- Wingate got on the board first when Wells found the back of the net two minutes into the game
- Catawba would go on a 4-0 run spanning 13 minutes of play
- Pezzulo netted a pair of goals in the flurry for the Indians, capping it at the 13:25 mark
- WU would net three unanswered to tie it at 4-4
- Pellet scored to start the run for the 'Dogs at the 10:58 mark
- Ruiz and Kamer each scored in the flurry
- Tilley found the back of the net with 5:21 remaining to put the Indians up by one
- The Bulldogs tied it going into half when Ketron scored a man-up goal with 34 seconds to go

SECOND HALF

- The Indians would score six unanswered to start the second half
- Barth scored the first two, Lehr and Pezzulo each netted a goal apiece in the Catawba flurry
- Green scored two goals to cap the Indians' run with 16:15 remaining to make it 11-5
- WU ended the game on a 4-0 run
- Ruiz netted a pair, while Cifolilli also found the back of the net
- Kamer capped the scoring for the 'Dogs with 1:18 remaining in the game, making it 11-9
