Rock Hill, S.C.----The second-seeded and 14th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs will make yet another appearance in the SAC championship game after a 4-2 victory over third-seeded and 21st-ranked Queens University in the semifinals of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference women's tennis tournament at the Rock Hill Tennis Center. Wingate improves to 19-1 overall, advancing to the SAC title match for the fifth straight year and eighth time in nine years. The Royals fall to 14-4 on the season.

DOUBLES
- The nation's 34th-ranked duo of
Claudia De Andreis and
Chyi Lee rolled to a 6-1 win at two doubles

Alisa Rudenko won 6-4 at one doubles

SINGLES
- The nation's 57th-ranked player, Rudenko rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win at two singles
- Queens prevailed at three singles to get on the board, cutting Wingate's lead to 2-1
- Verpelli, ranked 24th nationally, knocked off the 58th-ranked player 6-2, 7-6 to make it 3-1
- Lee won the first set 6-4 at four singles, but dropped the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 as Queens made it 3-2
- De Andreis won the clincher at five singles, prevailing 7-6, 6-3 to send WU to the title match
