#2 North Greenville hangs on for 3-2 victory over Wingate

Tigerville, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got another strong outing from freshman left-hander Adam Tulloch to go along with a pair of solo homers, but the second-ranked North Greenville University Crusaders held on for a 3-2 victory in NCAA Division II baseball action Wednesday afternoon. NGU improves to 41-9 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 33-19 on the season.

KEY STATS

- NGU out-hit Wingate 6-5 on the day
- The Crusaders had three of the five extra-base hits; the 'Dogs hit the only two homers
- The Bulldogs committed the lone error in the contest
- North Greenville left nine on base; Wingate stranded three

- Two-out singles from Mellett, Bryant and Schneider loaded the bases in the top of the ninth
