‘Dogs down Trojans 3-0 to notch third straight shutout

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored early and often in a 3-0 victory against the visiting Anderson University Trojans in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action Saturday evening at Pride Park. The Bulldogs improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play, while the Trojans fall to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in league play.

FIRST HALF

-  Peters found the back of the net first, getting a Krakower assist in the 14th minute of action
- Krakower won the ball in the attacking third in the left of the box, laying it off to Peters who finished it into the upper 90
- In the 33rd minute Krakower found the back of the net herself off a Kaitlyn Cox assist

SECOND HALF

- Wingate would earn the three-goal advantage when Hendrix converted a PK two minutes after halftime
- Cox drew a foul in the box, giving Hendrix the penalty kick opportunity

UP NEXT

- The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday, traveling to Chowan for a 3 p.m. start
