#4 Wingate rolls past Midwestern State on day two of ITA National Indoors

Oklahoma City, Okla.-----The fourth-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs bounced back from their first loss of the season Saturday afternoon, rolling past Midwestern State University on day two of the ITA National Indoor Championships. Wingate moves to 4-1 overall, while Midwestern State falls to 5-7 on the season.

DOUBLES

- The fifth-ranked doubles duo of Daniel Belsito and Josep Canyadell rolled to a 6-0 win at one doubles
- Enrico Giacomini and Matt Jones teamed for a 6-2 victory at three doubles
- Roy Stepanov and Matteo Gostoli led 4-3 at two doubles when the 'Dogs clinched the point
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Canyadell rolled to his second win of the day, prevailing 6-2, 6-1 at three singles
- Giacomini's second win of the day was a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number four singles
- Tolunay Sumer wrapped things up with a 6-3, 6-3 win at five singles
- Belsito, ranked sixth in the nation, won the opening set 6-0 against the fifth-ranked singles player in the nation
- The second set was 5-5 when the 'Dogs clinched the match
- Christian Della Cioppa held a 6-3, 4-1 advantage at six singles when the match was clinched
