Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs piled up 13 hits and got seven strong innings from
Austin Mitchell Sunday afternoon, rolling to a 10-4 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 4-2 overall, while the Sailfish fall to 2-3 on the season.

- Robert Fabelo led off the frame with a double, then scored on a wild pitch to get PBA within two
- Wingate answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame
- Guy's RBI bunt single made it 5-2
- Bryant lined a two-run single to right to put the 'Dogs on top by five
SIXTH INNING
- Chapman started the inning with a single, then scored on a wild pitch to make it 8-2
SEVENTH INNING
- Mellett ripped a one-out single through the middle
- He scored on Clark's two-run bomb to left center to give Wingate a 10-2 advantage
WRAPUP
- Mitchell got the win, moving to 1-0 on the season
- He allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings, striking out five without walking a batter
- The redshirt freshman has 13 strikeouts and no walks in his two starts this season
